The C-Quadrat Investment Group has been supporting social projects in many areas over a long time. One focus is the support of orphans and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. At the same time, projects in the health sector, education improvement and the fight against poverty all over the world are financed.
When choosing what project to support, CQ pays particular attention on how the respective program improves the economy of the community and contributes to a long term development.
CQ gives priority to projects which support the entrepreneurial drive of individuals and how each individual can contribute positivily to his or her community.

We are pleased to announce to have made it possible for 100 Ukrainian pupils to start school in Vienna by sponsoring intensive German courses.
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the "Ukrainian Saturday School in Vienna" has taken in countless new students who were displaced from their country. A great number of pupils are still on the waiting list. The majority of the children are expected to stay in Austria for a longer period of time and therefore need support in learning the German language.
One of the goals of C-Quadrat Investment Group has always been to support children from conflict regions and help them to get a better start in life. We hope that these German courses help towards that goal.
Bees are the mainstay of our ecosystem. More than 80% of native flowering plants depend on their pollination. One third of global food production depends on bees and other insects. The C-Quadrat Investment Group would like to make a contribution in the fight against the decline of the global bee population and supports the initiative of Beefuture. The beekeepers of Beefuture lovingly and professionally take care of the C-Quadrat beehive, which has recently found its new home in Lower Austria. A pleasant side effect: up to 15 kg of honey can be harvested per year and hive!
C-Quadrat Ampega/Armenia's social objectives include promoting the development of an educational society.
After previous reconstruction, the Noyemberyan Day Care Center was reopened as a joint initiative of the Tavush Diocese and C-Quadrat Ampega, in May 2022. The main goal of the center is to provide adequate educational and social care to more than 200 children from Noyemberyan and neighboring villages in the Tavush region.
With this initiative C-Quadrat wants to contribute to the solution of the existing social problems in Armenia.
With a 7-day incidence of over 1700, Spain is one of the countries most severely hit still by the Corona-Omicron wave. The Order of Malta is coordinating the distribution of the masks to retirement homes in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla and Valencia.
Items were donated that were urgently needed for the ongoing teaching at the boarding school. These included, for example, printers for Braille including accessories, drawing boards, chess sets for the blind and sports equipment adapted to the special needs.
Since 2013, the Kunene region in Namibia has been suffering from drought. The location of the Epupa Primary School makes it even more difficult to supply the pupils, as it takes a lot of effort to run errands in the nearest town due to the lack of infrastructure and long distances. With the donation of N$ 150,000.00, both the drilling of a well and part of the school's food programme can now be financed.
The CQ Investment Group supports the Zamin Foundation, whose central concern is to improve the living and learning conditions for children with hearing disabilities in Uzbekistan. Other areas of activity include air pollution monitoring, soil remediation and access to drinking water projects, as well as social financing projects.
Alexander Schütz and C-Quadrat support the organization Learn for Life, which is currently trying to improve the situation of about 1,000 refugees in the Lipa camp and to create a basic supply for the refugees.
CQ Investment Group and Alexander Schütz, CEO CQ Investment Group have donated 230,000 face masks and 30,000 FFP2 masks to MedUni Vienna in April 2020 and a further 150,000 FFP2 masks in January 2021. The masks were distributed to all MedUni Vienna staff, including around 1,600 doctors at Vienna General Hospital.
CQ Investment Group helps with protective clothing in times of corona pandemic: With 2000 protective suits and 20.000 FFP2 masks CQ supports the Spanish Order of Malta. The donation was distributed to retirement homes in Spain with the help of Order of Malta President Ramon Alvarez de Toledo.
In October 2019, CQ made a donation to the building of a children’s Day-care Center in Noyemberyan, Armenia. With this donation, CQ contributes to the betterment of the social circumstances for kids in Armenia. The new Center will give more than 200 kids an opportunity to get a proper education as well as daily care and access to social services.
Since October 2018, CQ Investment Group has been supporting the construction of two dormitories next to a school in the Malengalenga region of Namibia. This saves the students a long and often dangerous commute.
In 2017, CQ Investment Group financed 100 prefabricated houses in northern Iraq. The Better Shelter campaign tried to help people return to their homeland.
CQ Investment Group has been trying for many years to improve the future prospects of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since 2005, orphanages have been opened in Nepal, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Haiti and Romania.
Since 2016, CQ Investment Group has supported the Permanent Observer Mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
The UNODC Youth Initiative has reached several million young people in over 90 countries worldwide. Together with the Permanent Mission of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the UN in Vienna, CQ Investment Group is trying to give young people a voice through this initiative.
In 2015, CQ Investment Group supported the Hallo-App, which was intended to enable refugees to learn the German language.
The VinziRast projects help people to reintegrate into society. CQ Investment Group has supported the association since 2008.
Between 2011 and 2014, CQ Investment Group supported the Ashoka Association in promoting social projects with an entrepreneurial approach.
In 2010, CQ Investment Group supported the reconstruction of the social entrepreneurship project Cinema Jenin in the West Bank.
In 2002, CQ Investment Group supported Europe's largest sailing project, the Mirno More Peace Fleet, for socially disadvantaged children around the world.
With the financing of a horse for hippotherapy in 2003, CQ Investment Group supported the healing of neurological movement disorders.
